One month into the presidency of Donald Trump’s second term, Elon Musk’s Department of Goverment Efficiency (DOGE) has been working tirelessly to expose goverment fraud, corruption and wasteful spending.
United States Senator Joni Ernst, from the state of Iowa, highlighted some of the past waste at USAID, “including $20 million for Sesame Street in Iraq, more than $9 millionintended for Syrian civilians that wound up in the hands of violent terrorists, $27 million for deportation services, including Barbie doll gift bags, and $69,000 for dance classes in Wuhan, China."
To top it off, USAID authorized millions of dollars for Politico subscription payments. No government agency should be using taxpayer dollars to prop up a “preferred newspaper outlet” but that is exactly what was uncovered by Elon Musk.
